Organization

The organization in which you will work can no longer be ignored in the construction sector in the Netherlands. They have developed a quotation platform that brings all parties within the construction industry together. The platform is growing rapidly and is due to its success and the increase in efficiency in the field of requesting quotations. This is for the simple reason that supply and demand are brought together in the right way. The organization is growing rapidly and can be scaled up from national to international impact. There are currently about 60,000 companies using the platform. You can think of companies such as BAM and Heijmans, but also construction companies employing 15 people. The organization currently has about 60 employees.

Team

This position was created because the organization wants to grow. This was previously taken up by the development team, but there is now a separation between Data and Development. Some time ago a Data Scientist started who set up the Data Strategy. In addition, a Data Analyst will also be working. Because it is a growing organization, the team will grow to five people. The data scientist already present will manage this. As a team you are responsible for determining the further Data Strategy.

Role

Thanks to your expertise in data, you ensure the data platform fulfills the high quality standards for both their customers and internal business. You are responsible for creating and implementing the data platform with a Devops approach. You handle setting it up, manage the architecture and design new features. You build data pipelines using a delta/data lake and set up cloud infrastructures. Your input is essential to the success of the organization: They trust that you know best what can, should and has to be done.

You will also set up practical pipelines for insights into the internal business. By doing so, you help the organization improve their data platform and support daily data-driven decision making. That means a lot of freedom in your daily business and the necessity to bring forward your own ideas.

• Salary range between €4.000 and €4.800 per month,
• 19 cent p/km travel allowance

They are looking for:

• Experience of at least 3 years either as a Data Engineer or a Software Engineer with a focus on building (scalable) data pipelines in distributed environments.
• Experience working with AWS, Spark / Pyspark, SQL, NoSQL (Elastic)
• You have a completed HBO or WO education
