The Digital team works on the challenges of the global food chain every day, using cloud technology. This integration is instrumental to optimize the nutrient life cycle from a total-farm perspective, closing the loop from advice to result.
An outside-in perspective is applied for the Digital Data Model, to look at the world through the eye of the customer (“World of the farmer”). The diversity of farms should be translated to a universal blueprint model. Maintaining, extending and assuring the proper implementation of this “World of the farmer” data model is a key accountability for the Digital Solution Data Architect.
The architect contributes to maintaining and executing the digital data strategy. This strategy uses the Farmer Data Integration Model and Data Science to implement decision-driven data analytics, selecting the best course of action, finding and using data for clear business purposes
Data Architecture ensures that the business value of Digital applications and data is maximized by applying knowledge of the business needs and opportunities, the business processes, the existing portfolio of IT applications, and the current and emerging technology and IT service capabilities, but most of all, the actual data used by all of these. The Digital Solution Data Architect ensures that projects and products deliver cost effective, sustainable data solutions that align with the organizations strategic direction. The Solution Data Architect will be expected to develop data models and other artefacts plus influence design decisions throughout the software development lifecycle.
Key deliverables include the Solution Architecture High Level Design (“Famer Data Integration Model”) covering all necessary data models, matrices, diagrams, controls, and architectural guidance to detail the solution’s data design and enable its physical implementation.
This role ensures the business outcomes and business values are delivered by ensuring right data focused solutions are designed, delivered and implemented. This role leverages knowledge of existing portfolio and the current and emerging technologies. The role should be fully “Data Fluent”, using data consistently to generate intelligent insights and inform opportunity development and decision-making. Seeks opportunity to upskill in relevant visualisation and analytics tools.
The architect will support the activities as managed by the Global Digital Delivery manager, to maintain and implement the digital technology strategy and the digital technology architecture. The architect will work with the Technology team to ensure data availability across all applications for Data Science exploration, implementing the ‘world of the farmer’ data model for integration.
