Organization

This organization is founded in 2010 and is growing exponentially. They grew from a scale-up into a scale-up in the last few years and the company went public this year. They have offices in 13 countries and operate in 70, approximately 750 people working for the company. You can find the office of this company in Amsterdam, however it is really international, at the moment 70 nationalities are working together for the organization!

The main product and service this company offers is focussing on sustainability. It is a really scalable product and so is the technology behind it. To help to achieve maximum business value, data-driven insights have to be provided to the different departments: Finance, HR, Sales and Operations.

Team

Everyone working for the company is used to the fast–paced environment: is really adaptable and flexible. The IT team is responsible for the Data Warehouse and Data Governance across the organization. You will work Agile-based, reporting to and collaborating with the Lead Product Owner – Data & Analytics. Two more Data Engineers are also part of this team, and in the future the team will grow even bigger. You will also work closely with the BI team (they are looking for a BI specialist in their team as well!).

Role

As Senior Data Engineer you will be responsible for the architecture of the Data Warehouse. The first release of the DWH is done but you will be the one owning it. You design and support the data platform, always having in mind the scalability and future-proof features of the solutions you offer. You will also train the business users regarding the analysis, reports, dashboards etc. You will coach the team members on technical perspective.

• Salary indication is up to €85.000 per year based on 40 hours;
• 7 months-contract, indefinite afterwards;

• 5 years of relevant work experience within DWH or Big Data (Snowflake and/or Big Query);
• Experience with ETL tools;
• Experience with working in a Cloud platform;
• Programming experience (Python);
• Analytical skills;
• Team-player;
• Excellent communication skills in English
